Kalochairinos, however, got nothing more ; oneof his pithoi now stands with the Cretan antiquities inthe First Vase Room of the British Museum

SchHe-mann intended to follow up his work, but difficultiesensued with the Turkish authorities in the island withregard to the acquisition of the site, and death carriedhim off before he could get to work.
