Dennis Jacko, the commanding officer of the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and guest of honor, speaks to Marines with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) after the cake cutting ceremony for the 243rd United States Marine Corps Birthday aboard the Anchorage, Nov. 10, 2018. The Anchorage and embarked 13th MEU are deployed to the 6th Fleet area of operations as a crisis response force in support of regional partners as well as to promote national security interests in Europe and Africa.
