Storm damaged forest. Fallen trees in Stanley Park, Vancouver, Canada. This damage was caused by a mid-latitude cyclone that struck the park on 15 December, 2006. Wind speeds during the storm reached 71 miles per hour. The storm felled thousands of Douglas fir, western red cedar and sitka spruce trees.
