Vertical close up of the stag deer statue that stands guard on a tall column at the entrance of the Mandraki harbour against a bright blue sky. In ancient times, Rhodes was home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Colossus of Rhodes. This giant bronze statue once stood astride the entrance of Mandraki harbour and even though no trace of it has ever been found, the deer statues are believed to be where it once stood.
