The Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland gained widespread international recognition following sellout performances at Carnegie Hal
The Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland gained widespread international recognition following sellout performances at Carnegie Hall, New York and Boston Symphony Hall in 2005. This is one of the most award winning and acclaimed orchestras that Ireland has ever produced. Based in the border town of Dundalk, the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI) was established as a peace initiative in the wake of the cease-fire, and has been striking a chord with domestic and international audiences for 14 years. The orchestra's mission is to promote Peace and Reconciliation within Ireland and internationally, using the powerful medium of music.
