Blue sky view inland of white surf on basalt beach below cliffs, Mar Brava, Cocotue Bay, Pacific Coast, Chiloe Island, Chile


The basalt lava flows of the Ancud Volcanic Complex form high cliffs on the north side of Cocotue Bay, on the Mar Brava or wild Pacific Coast of Chiloe Island, some 21 km west of Ancud. Small roads lead to deserted beaches and fishing villages. sea bass and dogfish are caught from the shoreline.
