Another figure with the same motivehad the left hand placed imder the breasts, theright conceahng her nakedness, and at herside a vase; another wearing the stephane,naked, her right hand upon her breast. Pro-bably certain figures of a female wearing astephane, and covered with a peplos, which sheunveils, are intended for the same Erotes, or Cupids, whose midtiplied formsbecame so Pantheistic at the time of the RomanEmpire, appear to have been abimdant atTarsus, although few of their figures are perfect.
