American Beauty is light in supply, with a much lighter demand. Carnations are in good sup- ply and move well. Their quality is also good. Fine heather from Califor- nia reaches here and moves well. Sweet peas, owing to the dark weather, are not overplentiful, although good stock arrives. Bulbous stock is plentiful and the market for this drags at times. Valley, mignonette, violets, lilacs, bou- vardia, daisies and primulas are in good supply. Easter lilies are in better sup- ply, although the demand is poor. Callas sell considerably faster. Greens are fairly plentiful. Various Notes. Thomas J. Sullivan, of George B. Hart's, has purchased the greenhouses of Hudson Welch, at Lyndonville, N. Y., and took possession February 15. He has been connected with Mr. Hart for several years, serving during the war with the American army in France. M. McGowan has been added to the packing force of G. B. Hart. The condition of Charles H. Vick, Will H. Dildine and Miss Lillian Wheeler is improving. Clifford & Sons are cutting quite heavily on carnations, which are of good quality. They, however, do not expect the February cut to be so heavy as that of January. " Visitors
