Mr. Hinger entered service withthe Baltimore and Ohio as an engine cleaner,Newark, Ohio, shops. He entered hisapprenticeship as blacksmith on March i.^,1890; was made blacksmith, March 14,1894, and continued in the service atNewark, Ohio, until November I, 1908,when he was made blacksmith shop fore-man, Garrett, Ind.
