Properly liafted as a pick, oras a chisel to be driven by a mallet, this little celt would have been avery effective tool in shaping and trimming the vessels. As it stands,without hafting, it is too small for effective use. A small chisel fromthe southern hill is given in c,c in the same plate. From the soil that filled one of the shallow pits on the southernmargin of the crest of the hill, a chipped tool of unusual shape, givenin a,a, plate lxxxvii, was obtained. It resembles somewhat the
