The garden was really beautiful : beautiful rosesin large bushes grew profusely and flowering shrubsof great variety abounded. It rose in a numberof long and broad terraces, some 10 to 12 feet aboveeach other, and from a fine building on the highesta cascade started, falling from terrace to terracedown steep iron gratings, which gave each cascadea design, and flowing through the middle of eachterrace in a channel with rows of small were paths at either side of the garden bor-dered by bright-coloured
