Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft assigned to the 391st and 389th Fighter Squadrons, and one F-15SG aircraft assigned to the 428th Fighter Squadron, sit on the flight line during sunset at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, Dec. 6, 2010. The Strike Eagle's superior maneuverability and acceleration are achieved through its high engine thrust-to-weight ratio and low-wing loading. It was the first operational aircraft whose engines' thrust exceeded the plane's loaded weight, permitting it to accelerate even while in vertical climb. Senior Airman Debbie Lockhart
