Kile Broadway, an infantry automatic rifleman with Company C, Battalion Landing Team 1st Bn., 4th Marine, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, wait to board an MV-22 Osprey on the ramp of the USS Makin Island Dec. 28. The 11th MEU/Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group provides a versatile sea-based, expeditionary force that can be tailored to a variety of missions. The 11th MEU is currently supporting 5th Fleet’s mission to promote and maintain stability and security in the region.
