Remains of the 18th century Krue Se Mosque Pattani Thailand


Pattani, Thailand - May 7, 2017: The damaged remains of the Krue Se Mosque in Thailand's southern province of Pattani. The mosque is believed to be the oldest Islamic mosque in Thailand with the original structure dating from the sixteenth century. In 2004, the mosque was the scene of a controversial armed encounter between the Thai military and Islamic separatists which resulted in the death of 32 insurgents holed up in the mosque.
