Royal Air Force 1939-1945- Coastal Command This No. 320 Squadron Hudson VI, EW899, was almost lost after colliding with an enemy aircraft 500ft above the North Sea on a night sortie in February 1943. Despite extensive damage to the tail and fuselage the aircraft was nursed back to base by its severely shaken crew. The enemy aircraft was believed to have hit the sea and been destroyed.
