Snapdragons are fine and sell well for basket work. The demand for orchids during the last week has been fairly good. Among other outdoor stock ar- riving here are large quantities of lemon lilies, Canterbury bells, calen- dulas, marguerites, pansies, Spanish irises, antirrhinums, candytuft, poppies, syringas and deutzias. New hardy ferns have made their ap- pearance and are much welcomed. As- paragus plumosus and Sprengeri are plentiful, and the demand is good. Little is seen in blooming plants ex- cept some excellent hydrangeas and rhododendrons, the former selling more readily, owing to the fact that the prices are within reach of most people. Various Notes. Charles Gow, who spent nearly two years • overseas with the Canadian Mounted Eifles, has accepted a position with the Eochester Floral Co. Miss Helen Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin P. Wilson, is taking a two weeks' course in aesthetic dancing in New York. Charles Beck, of Sandlake, N. Y., visited the trade during the last week.
