Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and canal, World Heritage Site, Trevor Vale of Llangollen North Wales


Pontcyllte Aqueduct and canal is a UNESCO world heritage site and is a navigable aqueduct that carries the Llangollen canal across the river Dee in the vale of Llangollen. The 18- arched stone and cast iron structure is used by narrowboat and was completed in 1805 having taken ten years to design and build. The aqueduct was designed by Thomas Telford,
