In recognition of the importance of this step, in recognition of our ad- miration for a man who does things, Mr. Koster was asked to speak before the club. He chose for his subject, "Horticulture, Its Duty and Its Fu- ; When Mr. Roster's acceptance was received, the club arranged in his honor a dinner, whereat A. P. Van Den Bergh, consul of the Netherlands, was one of the speakers and whereat many of our leading horticulturists assembled. Mr. Koster made an exceedingly fine address. The attendance, both at the dinner and at the club meeting, was large. Seventy-five sat down at the din- ner which preceded the meeting. In ad- dition to the Netherlands consul, Robert Pyle and John Watson spoke. The exhibits included azaleas of the Kurume type from H. A. Dreer, Inc., a fine collection of plants from W. K. Har- ris, and a promising carnation sport from Henry Hession, Brooklyn, N. Y. A Bright Outlook. An interview with Frank M.
