A protester holds a placard expressing her opinion during the Polish Constitutional Court in its new, politically chosen courthouse ruled that abortion is unconstitutional in cases where there is a high probability of serious and irreversible damage to the fetus or an incurable disease that threatens its life. In the case of Poland, this means limiting the number of abortions to around 100 per year, only in cases of rape. Pro-life activists have announced a fight to ban abortion in cases of rape as well.
