The woven monogram "" probably refers to a member of the Grellet family (Cavallo). A related tapestry,"Verdure a la Pagode et au Carquois", illustrated in Chevalier , is signed by the ROUGERON workshop [weavers], bears the city mark DAUBUSSON & features a coat-of-arms (Soustelle). The related tapestry, GCPA 0243434, bears the city mark DAUBU[S]SON but also features the woven signature MINGOUNAT (Soustelle). Chevalier, p. 129 states that similar tapestries are in public & private collections in Paris, Mobilier National; Angers; Le Mans; Niort; Chatellerault; San Francisco (Soustelle).
