Midsummers Eve traditional bonfire built out of wooden pallets and crates burns on a peninsula in Ålesund, Norway
Slinning fire annually will be made at Slinning Odden in Ålesund to then be burned on Midsummer's Eve . The fire is built mainly of pallets, crates and barrels. The fire is about 30 meters high, named the "Slinning fire" on Slinning ruins outside Ålesund is a famous landmark and collects hundreds of spectators, both on land and sea each Midsummers Eve.
