(Feb. 28, 2012) – Sailors from deck department aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) remove an anchor chain lock in the forecastle of the ship during a simulated sea and anchor detail. Nimitz is conducting a fast cruise for returning to sea for the first time since the ship’s Docked Planned Incremental Availability. The ship arrived to Bremerton, Wash. to begin its DPIA December 2010.
