The village site, overlooking thebroad valley entrance where the headwaters of the Delaware arereceived, is charming. The region forms the watershed be-tween three river basins. One mile east is Bear Creek, whichempties into the Schoharie, and within fifteen minutes walkwest, is the source of streams whichare tributary to the Susquehanna. Thus within the radius of a single
