Workers prepare sandwiches at a Jersey Mike's Subs fast casual restaurant in Lower Manhattan in New York on its grand opening day, Monday, July 29, 2013. The first Manhattan location for the chain, it expects to franchise over 100 restaurants nationally in 2013 with the biggest push in the NY-NJ-CT tri-state region . The chain has over 750 locations open or in development nationwide. This location will create between 35 and 55 jobs. The chain was started in 1956 in Point Pleasant, NJ and is currently raising money for Citymeals-on-Wheels with a $2 donation getting you a free sandwich. ( © Richard B. Levine)
