Hawaii Army National Guard Col. David R. Hatcher II, commander of the 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT), thanks his parents during his promotion ceremony at Kalaeloa, Hawaii, July 1, 2022. Hatcher enlisted as an infantryman in 1987, commissioned in 2000 and commanded the 1-487 Field Artillery Battalion from 2019 to 2021 prior to assuming command of the 29th IBCT on April 4, 2022.
