Flexible circuit strip. This is a strip containing several copies of a printed electronic circuit for a car horn. Flexible circuits are made of polymer materials such as polyesters and polyimides. They are typically used in circumstances where weight or space requirements make the use of normal rigid circuit boards undesirable. Applications include satellites, rockets and the automotive industry. The first flexible circuits replaced complex traditional wiring looms that were time-consuming and costly to install.
