Bust portrait of Louis XVII in biscuit de porcelaine, as a boy of about 7 years with long locks up to the shoulders, wearing a chemisette with lace collar, on the chest left wide open, over it a sash from the right shoulder. The left shoulder is wrapped in a drapery drawn across the chest, mounted on a pedestal of dark ultramarine porcelain with golden piping. The mark is that of the manufacture royale de Sevres: jumbled, mirror-like L's, the loop of which, however, is not closed as usual, but open.
