It has beenfonnd that egg-albumin will aid in theprecipitation of bilirubin-calciiun frombile. It is probable that albumin mayact similarly in pathological processes. The formation of bilirubin-calciumstones, as has been already intimated,takes place in the intrahepatic and others are of opinion thatthe calcium results from an inflamma-tion of the lining membrane of the ducts,from the presence of microbes.
