Complications following dislocated shoulder in sports injury. X-rays of the right shoulder of a 31-year-old handball player who has suffered from multiple dislocations. Seen here are irregularities of the cortical notch and glenoid cavity, and evidence of a Bankart lesion - an injury of the anterior (inferior) glenoid labrum of the shoulder due to anterior shoulder dislocation. Injection of an opacifier (dense white) shows complete disinsertion of the anter-inferior glenoid ligament.
