Santa Maria church, Agramunt.
Santa Maria Agramunt is a Romanesque church located in the municipality of Agramunt in Urgell. The doorways of the north and west side are a magnificent example of Catalan Romanesque sculpture of the thirteenth century school of Lleida, with influences Toulouse, Moorish and other elements of Anglo-Norman origin. Documented in the late eleventh, twelfth in the current building was built when Ermengol VII granted the town charter in Agramunt. Since 1953, various restorations have returned to the church the original appearance. The temple is a basilica with three naves crown by three semicircular apses decorated externally by series of two arches on piers. The central apse also has a similar decoration for the interior, with arches on columns. The three ships covered with pointed barrel vaults, divided into four sections by three arches staggered section. The vaults rest on pillars with columns. Many construction details suggest the participation of artists Languedoc, which confirms marks masons, and especially the names of sculptors from Milavel R., and A. M. de Meces, Sartre, in some capitals carved interiors.
