The shells are cylindrical andare made of cast iron in two sections. Thetube heads are of composition metal, and thetubes are 24-in. seamless brass, tinned insideand out. The condenser shells are mountedover 10 x 18 x 18 single air pumps, brassfitted, while the circulating water is suppliedby two 12 x 22 x 15 vertical single typedouble-acting pumps. In the condenser pitis also located a steel hot well and two12 x 8 x 12 single service are two duplex outside centerpacked boiler-feed pumps with cylin- 0 D.
