Batemans Dark Lord Dark Ruby Beer bottle label - current @ 2010. Batemans the Lincolnshire brewer began life in 1874 in Wainfleet and is still brewing to this day. After a long history as a family brewer the Bateman family fought a fierce battle in the 1980’s to remain independent. They won through and the fourth generation of the Bateman family are very much a part of the brewery with commitment to independence for the future.
