A lion head sabre for artillery officers. Lightly curved pipeback Damascus blade with yelmen. The Saxon coat of arms and the inscription "Damaststahl" etched amid vine decoration. The reverse side with the monarch's monogram "AR" under a royal crown as well as the inscription "Eisenhauer". Remnants of gilding. Brass knuckle-bow hilt (traces of fire gilding). Sharkskin grip, wire winding. Black lacquered steel scabbard (worn). Traces of use and age.
