As aneminent physician, Dr. Barnes isknown throughout the length andbreadth of Missouri—and beyond itsborders. JULES BARON. Jules Baron is a native St. Louis-sn, having been born there August11th, 1859. He obtained a publicschool education and entered theWashington University after com-pleting the course of the LacledeSchool. He remained in the Wash-ington University but two years,quitting when in his sophomoreyear to enter the St. Louis MedicalCollege. He received his M. that college in the spring of1881. During the summer of 1881Dr. Baron sailed for Europe, where MEDICINE AND SURGERY, 215. for the next three years and a halfhe further pursued his study ofmedicine in Paris, Tienna and Ber-lin. In 1884 Dr. Baron returned toSt. Louis and began the practice ofmedicine. He located in South and has ever since been ac-counted as one of the leading physi-cians and surgeons of that section ofthe city. Dr. Baron is a member of the Medical Society, and he is alsoprominent in the ranks of theKnio-hts of Pythias of the city. Dr. Bartlett has a large generalpractice, but makes a specialty ofdiseases of women. He is accredited the leading phy-sician of that division of the cityknown as Yortk Springfield. Fornine years he has been the housephysician at St. Johns Hospital inSpringfield, and was recently ap-pointed consulting surgeon at theFrisco Bailr
