St James's PIccadilly, church in London by Christopher Wren. Interior nave vaulting


St James's Piccadilly, London. Church designed by Sir Christopher Wren and built between 1676 and 1699. In October 1940 the church was severely damaged by enemy bombing, and much of the roof collapsed. It was restored by Sir Albert Richardson in the 1950s. Detail of arch vaulting in nave and aisles, with cherub keystone.
