Gert & Henrys, a pub & restaurant serving traditional English fayre such as a Sunday roasts in Jubbergate, part of the historical city of York's market area in York, Yorkshire, Britain. The timber-framed building dates from the 1600's - Tudor period. It is one of the many period properties owned by the York Conservation Trust that maintains restoration and conservation projects in York and the county of Yorkshire. A street name with the ending of Gate is a Viking word for ÔstreetÕ. In AD 866, the invading Danish Vikings made York their capital city - Jorvik.
