Trucks used to haul mined sand sit in front of a destroyed mountain in Carrefour La Boule, south of Port-au-Prince, Haiti on July 13, 2008. The sandy earth is used for cement, the primary construction material in Haiti. With the charcoal industry having depleted forrest resources, the mountains hold one of the only building materials available.
