If there had beenthe slightest chance, I should have run away; but runningaway from a ship is a very different thing from running awayfrom a farm. If I had wished myself back on the farm before, howmuch more did I wish it now! But too late, too late, for wewere all ordered up out of the forecastle even before I hadtasted a mouthful of food.
