Airmen assigned to the 605th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and family members of Staff Sgt. Franklin Kaunang recite the Airman’s Creed in remembrance of Franklin on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, , May 16, 2022. The ceremony was held to unveil the Staff Sgt. Franklin Kaunang Maintenance Heritage Room. Kaunang spent four years as a crew chief with the 605th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron until he retrained to become a flight engineer on C-130s. Kaunang passed away after his battle with Leukemia on May 16, 2021.
