In a period of less than 24 hours, Trent rendered nine improvised explosive devices safe during a clearing operation in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Trent worked into the night, uncovering and disarming additional IEDs along the way. He manually approached and disarmed two of the IEDs after exhausting remote deactivation methods.
