Tuatara is a reptile endemic to New Zealand. Resembling common lizards the Tuatara represents an order with all other species extinct since many millenia. Brückenechsen oder Tuataras sind Reptilien, die nur auf Neuseeland leben. Obwohl sie Eidechsen sehr ähneln, repräsentatieren die Tuataras eine eigene Ordnung der Sphenodontia, deren anderen Arten bereits vor vielen Jahrmillionen ausgestorben sind.
