There is another question more important, andmore easily answered, Whether we who enjoy thegospel, can be saved, if we live in opposition to it ?This is a question which the gospel has who put the word of God from them, judgethemselves unworthy of eternal life. Behold, yedespisers, and wonder and perish. To such a ques-tion the same answer is to be given, as our Saviour,gave to one who asked him a similar question—Whether few should be saved ? Strive to enter inat the strait gate. Be not curious to know, how itwill fare with others. Be solicitous for out your own salvation ; for many who en-joy the offers and means of salvation, will, throughtheir own neglect, perish, and be lost 45 -^^ The Works of God, as King of Saints^ great andmarvellous. ^^ REVELATION xv. 3.
