Italy - Emilia Romagna - Ravenna - National Museum - Sarcophagus of the Traditio Legis made of Proconnesian marble which is inspired, both for the motif treated and for the architectural structure, by models from Constantinople. The sarcophagus, devoid of the original cover and one of the two long sides, can be dated to the first quarter of the fifth century. On the front the composition is dominated by the figure of Christ provided with a monogrammed nimbus and covered with tunic and pallium. To the right of Christ is the apostle Paul who raises his right arm in jubilation.
