There was no newspaper apace used; the favorite method was the stickers, wliich, for a month before St. Valentine's day, were pasted upon every package de- livered. This certainly liad its effect and, had .a more systematic campaign heen carried on, the day's business might liave been larger. That it pays to ad\('rtise was well demonstrated. There is Just about a month left before Easter, and a good, aggressive adver- tising campaign would greatly increase the business, riuircli work and the <irdiiiarv Kasfer business are always about the same, but a good, live cam- paign on corsage bouquets for Easter Suiidav would undoubtedlv bring re- sults. ' All stock on the iiinrket last week was of sjdendid quality. Roses were es]iecially fiue, Premier, jierhaps, lead- ing ill -. with Double White Kil- l.'irney a close second. All varieties, however, were fine. They seem to be imitroving every day. Carnations were in excellent condition, some of the fancy \arieties being of exhibition (| EVANSTON, CHICAGO 30 E.
