The mouth of the reflector is closed by a small glass cover, which protects thelamp and prevents the silver frombeing quickly tarnished. Such an ar-rangement would, it seems to me, bequite advantageous for larj^ngologicalpurposes, only the lamps as made (6volts, taking ampere) would beentirely too feeble for operative pro-cedures. It could easily be fastenedto the stand shown on page 5, and thus do away with the entire Toboldlens-cylinder and shield, excepting the conductor, which could beattached to the lamp-liolder.
