Fruits globular to deep globular, of medium size, solid and well colored. MANALUCIE 86 Bred at the Gulf Coast branch of the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station. Vine vigorous, prolific and indeterminate, resistant to Fusarium wilt, gray leaf spot, early blight and leaf mold, with some resistance to black spot stem canker and tobacco mosaic. Fruits large, globular, slow in ripening, relatively resistant to cracking and blossom end rot. MARGLOBE 77 Vine vigorous, with heavy foliage, partially resistant to Fusarium wilt and nail-head rust; moderately productive. Fruits medium large, deep globe, smooth, solid, with thick walls. The Asgrow strain is distinguished for its freedom from pumness and heavier yield. MOSCOW VR 74 Vine compact and prolific, resistant to Verticillium wilt. Fruits round, smooth and firm. PEARSON IMPROVED 90 Vigorous, determinate vine with ample foliage and heavy set, fruits medium large, smooth, semi-globe and of good red color. Unusually free from cracks or other defects. The leading variety for canning in Pearson Improved : particularly adapted to California conditions.
