Senior Airman Jonah Phillips, 822d Base Defense Squadron fireteam member and Staff Sgt. Joshua Basinger, 822d BDS fireteam leader, check the vitals of an unconscious team member during a simulated explosives and hazardous material scenario, May 24, 2017, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The exercise was designed to simulate initial responses from first responders. Once on scene, they contacted other appropriate units after assessing the potential threat while also assisting the simulated victims of hazardous materials.
