Van Houttei. The grandest of all the white Spiraeas; it is a beautiful ornament for the lawn at any season, but when in flower it is a complete fountain of white bloom, the foliage hardly showing. Clusters of 20 to 30 flat white florets make up the raceme, and are set close along the drooping stems. Any of the above Spiraeas 25 cts. each ; § per dozen. SYRINGA, OR Charles X. A strong, rapid-growing variety, with large, shin- ing leaves. Trusses rather loose ; large, reddish purple. 50 cts. Common [S\'rin-:^a vuli^aris). The common purple species.
