Carl Schurz Park. East End Avenue between 83rd and 90th Street. This park made in 1891, and managed by a neighborhood association, offers good views of the East River and is a peaceful place to walk in the shade of the trees. On the north side of the park is the home field of Gracie Mansion, built in 1799 as the official residence of the mayor.
