Historian Gayle Green stands before a large boulder, which served as north wall of a cabin built by members of the Donner party

The boulder, in Donner Memorial State Park, was the north wall and fireplace of a cabin occupied by some of the Donner party. The 1919 bronze tablet lists the names of the Donner party.
